Laela Is Six!

Laela had her sixth birthday on February twentieth. Her birthday turned into a birth week after her trip to Phoenix shopping we came home and had a family birthday party.
She loves her sun glasses! She wears them everywhere if Kenzie isn't already wearing them. Here is her giant present from the best neighbors in the whole world, the Neagles.
She got to have her cousin Elly over to play and she couldn't wait for JR to get home from work to open presents so I just let her open them.
She got everything she waned, lot's of art stuff, beads to make jewelry, clothes, boots, a baby stroller and too many other things.
Her Nani and Papa Liljenquist sent her presents in the mail and money. I took her shopping to spend her money and she left the store with a basket full of toys.
Her grandma Dee Dee brought lots of presents and pizza over for dinner and we sang Happy Birthday to her.
Her Nana Jan took her shopping and out to dinner with her cousin Elly and she loved it. She likes to get away from Mason and Makenzie and go do big girl things. I think she had the best birthday ever!!

The Childrens Museum

For Laelas sixth birthday I asked her if she'd rather have a party or go to Phoenix and she chose Phoenix. I am so glad she did, we had such a good time. Laela got to choose where we ate and of course she chose Red Robin, they have balloons. Here she is at Red Robin and I asked her to smile but she always has to make a silly face. After we ate they sang Happy Birthday to her and gave her a giant ice cream.
So the next day we went to downtown Phoenix in search of the Children's museum, we had never been there  so we weren't sure what to expect. We parked and started walking around not sure where this place was so I asked a guy and he offered to give all of us a ride in his wagon behind his bike. I  wish I would have gotten a picture of all of us on the back of his bike, it was so fun and the kids loved it!
Here's Laela  painting a giant  rocket ship at the museum.

There were three levels of super fun stuff just for kids but I think my kids liked the bike car wash the best.
Mason driving through the car wash.

We spent most of the day at the museum and then we took the kids swimming and to the park, such a fun little get away for Laelas birthday!

The Cuteness!

Kenzie is so funny and so cute! I think I have said before that she loves to dress up.
In Laelas glasses.
I walked into the bathroom and she was trying to put JR's mullet wig on.
I helped her put it on and then I laughed so hard that I had to take pictures to remember this.

She smiles every time I say "Cheese."
This is where I found her after a long day of destroying the house with Mason.

My Little Buddy

Have I ever said how much I love my little boy! Mason is my wild, crazy, messy and very sweet little buddy. He is right at the age where he's asking a million questions a day and half the stuff he says is either funny or doesn't make sense. Before I forget I need to write down some things about Mason at three and a half.
  • He started Sunbeams this year and I was so worried about him because he still seems so little to me but he is growing up fast. Every Sunday after church he comes homes singing church songs and last Sunday I was listening to him play with Laela and he cheerfully said "Laela let's go get baptized!" It made me laugh, I think he will be a good missionary someday.
  • I think I can almost say he is potty trained. Potty training a little boy is a NIGHTMARE! I have bought more Lysol wipes this last few months than I have bought my whole life. He has been doing really good this last couple weeks with no accidents and it's been great!
  • The other day while Mason was in the bath he said "Mommy can I PLEASE have a dinosaur, please mommy I really want one, I will give you some of my money!" I laughed so hard. I tried to explain that the dinosaurs weren't around anymore but he doesn't believe me.
  • He loves to say the dinner prayer. Every time we say "Who's going to say it?" He yells "I want to do it!"
  • He still likes his hair to be just right and if it gets messy he asks me to fix it. I fixed it the other day and he looked in the mirror and said "It looks awesome!"
  • His favorite thing to do is beat up his sisters and ride his gator, oh and run over his sisters with his gator.
  •  A few weeks ago I bought a full length mirror and hung it on the bathroom door and while  I was getting ready he was looking at himself in the mirror, I looked over and said what do you think Mason and he said "I'm perfect!" He is, he is my perfect little boy!

Florida & A Beautiful Wedding

The beginning of January we flew to Florida for my little sister Kimmys wedding. It was such a beautiful wedding. Tyler and Kimmy are so cute together.
The newlyweds, isn't she GORGEOUS!!
Kimmy and Laela.
 Mason and Kimmy.
Tyler and Kimmy with half of the nieces and nephews.
Almost the whole family outside the Orlando Temple.
The reception was so fun! The kids ran around, danced, ate a lot of candy and cupcakes and they loved the sliders and fries.
I love this picture, I'm so happy to have a new brother and I'm so excited for Kimmy and Tyler to start their lives together.
After the wedding we had a few days before we had to fly back to Arizona so we did some fun things with the kids, the beach was their favorite!

 Splashing in the waves.

I think JR and Weston had more fun than the kids! They built a sand castle and all the kids got a turn to sit in it.

This is my newest nephew Waylon. He is the cutest little boy ever!
 Beach Buns.

All the cousins.
Makenzie, Waylon, Kolton, Mason, Buck, Diesel, Laela and Jade.

Crazy Christmas

I love Christmas but every year it gets busier and busier. I think I finished up my shopping and wrapping on Christmas Eve. I cooked quite a bit Christmas Eve but forgot to take most of it to the parties we went to, so we ended up with a lot of cookies and candy for Santa. Christmas Eve we went to my grandparents house first for the White Elephant party over there and then from there we rushed to grandpa Allen's for the Christmas Eve party over there. When we got back the kids were exhausted but it has become tradition that Christmas Eve they get to open one present, their jammies so we made time for that. Here they are in new jammies from Papa and Nani Liljenquist.
Christmas morning they got right up and went straight to the stockings.
Kenzie had a harder time waking up than the other two.
Laela opening her first of too many presents.
Once Kenzie saw they wagon and her new purple baby she woke right up.
Mason was so excited about this GIANT bucket of Play Dough.

This is my favorite picture of Christmas, she loves her wagon and her baby!
Laela was sooo excited about her first real camera.
Mason had a truck like this last year and when it broke he was so sad, so he was pretty happy to get a new one that worked.
The kids had such a fun Christmas!
Had to add this one of all the cute girl cousins at Nana's house on Christmas in their new matching jammies.
She really did like Christmas.
